The Karlín Viaduct hosted the finals of the "Golden Pen 2025" copywriting competition

The open arch space of the Negrelli Viaduct in Karlín became the venue for the final evaluation of the prestigious Czech-Slovak competition Golden Pen 2025. The competition, organized by Creative Copywriters Club in cooperation with the Slovak Atelier Pútnici, awards the best texts created in public spaces.

This year, the jury evaluated a record 52 submitted entries – from advertising texts and social media posts to recruitment campaigns and public speeches. The jury consisted of twelve professional copywriters and creative directors from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, who jointly selected the three best works.

The main prize "Golden Pen 2025" was awarded to Erik Tabery, editor-in-chief of the weekly Respekt, for his publicly published email correspondence with the former director of the Slovak Literary Centre. The jury particularly appreciated its linguistic refinement, argumentative strength, and moral dimension.

Second place was awarded to the campaign Open Culture with actors from the Slovak National Theatre, and the third prize went to Brno Public Transport Company for its original recruitment advertisements.

"The Karlín Viaduct space was an ideal location for our jury – the tranquility, context, and inspiring atmosphere supported our work and the final decision," said Petr Vlasák, president of the Creative Copywriters Club.

Thanks to events like these, the Karlín Viaduct is becoming a place where creativity, public debate, and cultural events connect across republics.
