ART REUSE
Students from the Metal and Jewelry studio at FDU Pilsen present a diverse collection of works that challenge conventional definitions of jewelry – from June 23rd to June 27th. Opening on Monday at 5:00 PM!
The raw materials come from the shared ART REUSE material bank. They range from the ordinary to the unexpected: wood, zippers, discarded shoes, old vinyl records, pins, scrap metal, and more. These humble elements, rarely used in jewelry, have been given new life through transformation, questioning, and experimentation.
The results are as diverse as the intentions, where even the scope of traditional jewelry has been challenged.
The ART REUSE exhibition invites viewers to perceive jewelry as a space for exploration. They sought new paths in contemporary jewelry through play, experimentation, and not adhering to material limitations.
